    Buses in Verona

    Verona boasts a dense network of urban public transport managed by Azienda Trasporti Verona Srl (ATV), allowing you to reach any corner of the city. There are about 20 active urban lines, in addition to several fast Express suburban lines that reach the province.

    Tourists can also rely on City Sightseeing tourist buses that connect all the main attractions in Verona.

    Finally, Verona also has a funicular that connects the city to the panoramic terrace of Castel San Pietro. The service starts from the Roman heart of the city and in just over a minute reaches Colle San Pietro, the starting point for a walk in the green hills of Verona. The service operates daily from 10 am to 5 pm in the winter period, and until 9 pm in the summer period, remaining closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day. The ticket costs €2.50 round trip, €1.50 one way.

    Getting Around Verona by Bicycle

    In Verona, it is also easy to get around by bicycle: the city offers a bike-sharing service with many rental options between Porta Nuova station and the streets of the center, covering a total of almost 100km of bike lanes. In the city of love, there is also the Verona in Tandem service, allowing couples to move around by pedaling together.

    How to Reach Verona Airport

    Verona is a popular tourist destination and a strategic point for visiting other art cities, the nearby Lake Garda, and heading to mountain resorts. Verona Villafranca Valerio Catullo Airport is 12 km from the city center and can be reached with the ATV shuttle service Verona Airlink that departs from Porta Nuova Station. The service operates daily from 5:15 am to 10:50 pm with runs every 20 minutes, except on Christmas and New Year's Day, when the frequency is every 40 minutes.

    The ticket, which can be purchased online and via smartphone app, costs €6, can also be used on the city's urban lines, and is valid for 75 minutes from validation.
